1. What Information We Process

When you use FreeUpi to generate QR codes, create invoices, or split transactions, you enter data such as:

• Payee Name or Business Title
• UPI Virtual Payment Address (VPA, e.g. username@bank)
• Transaction Amount and Note
• Invoice line items, client name, and date details

This data is processed locally inside your web browser using HTML5 and JavaScript. It is never transmitted to or archived on any FreeUpi centralized database or server.

2. Shareable Payment Links and URL Payloads

When you click "Copy Link" or "WhatsApp Share", FreeUpi compresses and base64-encodes the payment details directly into the URL query parameters (e.g. https://freeupipay.com/pay?d=...).

When the recipient opens this link, their browser decodes the data locally from the URL to render the payment buttons and QR code. FreeUpi servers act only as a static web host for the webpage files and do not record individual payment parameters.

3. Banking & Transaction Security

All actual money movement takes place entirely outside of FreeUpi, inside certified UPI applications (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.) via encrypted NPCI infrastructure with multi-factor authentication (UPI MPIN). FreeUpi does not have access to your bank account, balance, or authentication tokens.

4. Cookies and Web Analytics

We do not use tracking cookies for behavioral targeting or third-party ad networks. We may use anonymized, privacy-first telemetry solely to monitor server performance, uptime, and crash diagnostics.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Because we do not store your financial data on our servers, there is no centralized database holding your records. If you close your browser tab or clear your local cache, your session data is gone. For generated invoices, you can print them to physical paper or save them as PDF files on your personal computer.
