1. Nature of the FreeUpi Service

FreeUpi (freeupipay.com) is a free client-side software utility that formats standardized Unified Payments Interface (UPI) deep links, scannable QR codes, multi-part transaction schedules, and printable digital invoices.

FreeUpi is NOT a payment gateway, escrow service, bank, or NBFC. We do not hold, deposit, clear, or transmit your funds at any point. When a customer scans a QR code or taps a link generated through our software, the financial transaction is executed directly between the payer's banking institution and the payee's bank using NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) rails.

2. 0% Fee and Direct Bank Settlement Policy

FreeUpi charges 0% commission and zero gateway fees. We do not deduct any percentage or transaction surcharge. The total amount transferred by the payer is credited directly into the payee's linked bank account subject only to standard bank settlement speeds (typically instant).

3. Accuracy of UPI Virtual Payment Addresses (VPAs)

Users are solely and entirely responsible for verifying the accuracy of their UPI ID (e.g. name@okhdfcbank) before sharing QR codes, links, or invoices. Because UPI transfers to bank accounts are irreversible under NPCI regulations, FreeUpi cannot reverse, refund, or redirect funds sent to an incorrect or misspelled UPI ID.

4. ₹1,999 Smart Multi-QR Splitting Technology

Our ₹1,999 split engine is engineered to divide transaction totals into parts at or below ₹1,999 to help users benefit from low-friction banking policies and avoid transaction limits on new or unverified contacts.

While this technology significantly improves transaction success rates, individual issuing banks (e.g., SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis) maintain their own proprietary fraud algorithms, account-level daily limits, and frequency caps. FreeUpi does not warrant that every individual bank will accept successive micro-transfers without internal limits.

5. Digital Invoice Maker & Tax Compliance

Invoices generated through FreeUpi are provided as self-serve convenience templates for freelancers, creators, and merchants. Users remain exclusively responsible for calculating applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST), issuing valid tax invoices, and filing statutory returns with relevant tax authorities.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use FreeUpi for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to: money laundering, illegal betting or gambling, fraudulent impersonation, or collection of funds for prohibited goods or services as codified under Indian law and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines.

7. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer of Warranty

FreeUpi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. Under no circumstances shall FreeUpi, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or operational losses arising out of UPI network downtimes, bank clearing failures, or typographical input errors.
